Hi! I’m Alexandra

Hello Fellow Romance Readers and Writers:

My greatest passion is reading and writing contemporary romance novels—stories that explore deep emotions, real-life struggles, and the resilience of strong women. Writing is not just a creative outlet for me; it’s a part of who I am. Books and stories have always been a major part of my life.

Ever since I was 12 years old, I have been an avid reader. I remember curling up with books for hours, hiding away in my room, utterly captivated. (Sometimes I wonder if my parents knew what I was reading because I definitely learned a lot from some of them.) Growing up in a large family, books provide me with a quiet escape. I read Hemingway—literally every book he wrote. Then Sidney Sheldon, V.C. Andrews (See? What were my parents thinking? I can only assume since I was number four they just stopped caring. They were just thrilled I was reading!) and Judith McNaught. I fell in love with historical romance.

Punishment for me, as a child, was taking away my books! I could finish entire novels in one weekend.

My parents always encouraged me to be strong, ambitious, and independent. My mother, in particular, was a driving force behind my determination to succeed. She never had the opportunity to attend college, but she made sure that all her daughters valued education and pursued higher learning. With her encouragement, I attended the University of California, Santa Cruz, where I majored in Politics and graduated with Honors. My educational journey didn’t stop there. I later completed the APR Rule 6 program through the Washington State Bar Association, a rigorous four-year work-study program that allows students to become lawyers through reading the law. Balancing my studies, career, and personal life was challenging, but it taught me the importance of perseverance and discipline—qualities that also fuel my writing.

Though my career has taken me into the tech field (I know, what about the legal field? I don’t like lawyers!), storytelling has remained a constant passion. Stories come to me in dreams, like movies in my head, vivid and beautiful. And my dreams sit with me, even in the middle of a busy day. They fill my mind, demanding to be written down, and I feel a deep sense of purpose in bringing them to life. I write the kind of stories I want to read—ones that feature strong women who, despite their insecurities and struggles, find the strength to overcome obstacles. My heroines are flawed yet resilient, navigating challenges that many women today can relate to. Whether it’s facing societal expectations of being thin, dealing with past trauma, or overcoming medical conditions that only women deal with, my characters embark on journeys of growth, love, and self-discovery—and find love along the way with strong male leads that are also, well, hot. And my stories always end with a happily ever after.

One of the core elements in my writing is exploring real-life issues that women face. Every book I write incorporates themes surrounding major challenges such as women’s health, abuse, and the importance of mental health. I believe that romance novels can be more than just love stories—they can shine a light on important topics and help women know they aren’t alone. Maybe they make you cry or laugh, but they always leave you thinking and feeling. And good banter helps.

For me, writing is more than just crafting stories; it is about connecting with readers. I spend a lot of time on TikTok, talking to my book besties about my books and the books they love. I love engaging with them and feel excited when they have such real reactions to my stories. I want my books to resonate with people, and I love that I can speak and hear directly from those who appreciate my work. I am inspired by the romance novels I grew up reading—the ones that made me laugh, cry, and root for the characters as if they were my own friends. Now, as a writer, I strive to create that same experience for my readers.
